The Nuggy, created by NugTools.com, combines a multitude of gadgets that will make your smoking experience as effortless as possible. We received this product in exchange for an honest review. If you have a product you’d like to share with the Stoner Toolbox community, please visit our Contact page.

Back to the Nuggy: this dope tool can be purchased on sale for $29.75 from their website, NugTools.com and can also be found on Amazon. This is a purchase that you will get use out of no matter how often — or how, in general — you smoke. The product features ten different tools in one, and we at Stoner Toolbox are amazed to have found what seems to be the essence of a stoner’s toolbox within a single product. Dabs, blunts, or bong tokes: you can use the Nuggy for all the various tasks and needs that accompany a good smoke session.

The design of the Nuggy features a dark green and sturdy exterior, with a spring-locking ability. The gadgets can be just the slightest bit difficult to unhook with the first few uses, but as NugTools explains, this is a result of their design taking into account safety and durability so they can bring you the highest quality product possible. That being said, even the Stoner Toolbox founder with the daintiest stoner-lady hands has had no problems using the Nuggy.

Next, let’s talk about the actual tools included in the Nuggy. The ten tools that make up the Nuggy are as follows: bottle opener, flathead screwdriver, pick, scraper, clip, LED flashlight, scissors, tamper, spoon, and knife. See NugTools’ Top 10 Ways to Use the Nuggy for a rundown of options for each feature. The tools that we have been using most include the spoon, which is excellent for transferring kief to the bowl without making a mess or losing product, and the pick, which cleans out clogged bowls quickly and efficiently. The roach clip is also an excellent addition, as NugTools also provides a how-to guide on rolling a blunt using their product.

Overall, we at Stoner Toolbox are remarkably impressed with this tool and have it at the ready right next to our stash. The Nuggy comes highly recommended and is the most utilitarian smoking product we have seen on the market. Even the occasional smoker will find the many tools useful to their smoking experience. What we’d love to see incorporated into a future Nuggy 2.0 would be a key-chain feature so we can bring it with us anywhere.

One of the most asked questions for old and new growers alike is whether or not a grow tent is necessary for a successful indoor grow op. More specifically, it’s “which is better, a grow tent or grow room?”

Even though there are tons of benefits to growing a crop indoors, it’s hard to settle the grow tent vs grow room debate since there are benefits and drawbacks to each. Plus, the decision has a lot to do with the logistics of your crop, like how many plants you’re growing and whether you’re completely new to growing indoors or a seasoned veteran.

Before making your decision, it’s important to make a classic Pros & Cons list so that you choose right.

Pros of Using an Indoor Grow Tent

A grow tent is a compact tent constructed with reflective interior walls and an integrated ducting/venting system. They range in size, but the best grow tents are lightproof, waterproof, and feature airtight vents. They’re designed so that you can hang lights from the ceiling and attach fans to the side walls.

Using a grow tent is all about convenience, but here are a few more specific advantages:

Easy Installation

Setting up a grow room without the help of an indoor grow tent comes with a lot of challenges. It usually involves lining the floors, ceiling, and walls with reflective materials, drilling holes in the ceiling to hang lights, and screwing fans into the walls.

With a grow tent, you don’t have to worry about any of this. The interior of the tent is already lined with reflective material and the structure is formed by brackets that can be used for hanging lights and fans. Overall, installing a grow tent can be done in 10 minutes or less.

Great Choice for Beginners & Small Crops

This is a great choice for beginners, and not just because of the easy installation. Growing indoors involves a certain level of climate control, and getting the temperature and humidity down to a T isn’t always easy for a new grower. There will definitely be some trial and error with humidifiers, AC units, and heaters.

Since a grow tent is a fully-enclosed space, controlling the climate is much easier than it is with a full-sized grow room with windows, doors, vents, etc. It’s the obvious choice for beginners, and it’s also a great choice for long-time growers who are working with only a few plants.

Pest Control

There’s no place in an indoor grow room for pesky critters and bugs, but try telling them that. Pests and parasites are inherently drawn to indoor plants, and if they latch onto yours, it could be the demise of the entire crop.

Contracting spider mites is one of the most detrimental things to happen to indoor gardens. They feed on plants and can double in number literally overnight, and they can even work themselves into plant buds if the problem isn’t addressed early enough.

Because a grow tent is completely sealed, the chances of your crop contracting pests like spider mites are much lower. You still have to keep an eye out for them, but most indoor gardeners will tell you that using a tent is the perfect solution to pest control.

Locks in Light & Smells

Depending on what you’re growing, you might want to use a bit of discretion when it comes to your garden. We’re mainly talking about weed growing, because, let’s face it, nobody cares if you’re growing tomatoes or zucchini indoors.

Even though growing cannabis in many parts of the world, like Canada, is now 100% legal, most growers still don’t want to broadcast what they’re doing to the world. The solution is to find a grow tent in Canada that locks in light and skunky smells.

Using a grow tent to lock in light and smells is especially smart if you’re living in a shared house, apartment building, or you just have close neighbors.

More Energy Efficient

Because the best grow tents are 100% light proof, they’re a lot more energy efficient than the standard grow room. You don’t have to worry about patching up window holes or venting ducts. Every bit of light is contained and utilized, which not only ends up saving you money but also gives the maximum supply of lights to your crop.

Light isn’t the only form of energy being used in an indoor grow room. There’s also a lot of energy spent on climate control – ACs, heaters, humidifiers, dehumidifiers, fans… All of these things require energy, but the good news is that using a tent lets you use energy wisely.

Cons of Using an Indoor Grow Tent

There are only a few minor drawbacks to using a grow tent for your upcoming indoor garden, but they’re still worth mentioning.

Limited Space

The main reason to cultivate your plants in a full-on grow room rather than a grow tent has to do with square footage. If you’re growing hundreds of plants, you’ll need the proper amount of space to accommodate them, and a grow tent probably won’t cut it.

That said, grow tents come in a variety of different sizes, and the largest tents measure up to 10×20 feet (that’s 200 feet squared). The only way to make the decision based on size is to draw up a layout beforehand and determine if a tent will be roomy enough for your garden.

Difficult Accessibility

Along the same lines of limited space comes difficult accessibility. It goes without saying that a small 2×2 or 4×4 tent doesn’t give you much room to move around, and accessing plants can be a challenge.

When a Grow Tent Is the Right Choice

As you can see from this list of pros and cons, grow tents have more going for them than against them. Whether you’re a beginner indoor gardener, growing just a few plants, or looking for the most energy efficient solution, investing in a grow tent is something to consider.
